Don't Let The Bed Bugs Bite

Don’t Let The Bed Bugs Bite

We’ve all heard the saying “Don’t let the bed bugs bite” but what may not be common knowledge is that references to bed bugs aren’t just part of an old adage to wish someone good night. Bed bugs, as they have been for years now, continue to be a big problem in Denver, Boulder, and Colorado Springs as well as throughout Northern Colorado. They are a major source of irritation for property managers as well as for hotels, motels and private residences.

Bed bugs are tiny, nocturnal parasites that feed mainly on the blood of humans and sometimes warm-blooded animals. They have the ability to heavily infest lodgings, apartment buildings, and homes before they are detected. Usually a bed bug problem is identified when their tiny, red bites are discovered on people or when their feces and blood droppings are noticed on bed sheets and linens.

Bed bugs infestations are not signs of filthy conditions or sanitation issues and are just as likely to occur in five-star hotels as they are to show up in other lodgings or residences. That’s because bed bugs are accomplished hitchhikers and are commonly found where there is a high rate of occupancy turnover. They are also found on used furniture, luggage and clothing and may enter multi-unit housing complexes or homes on the backs of travelers or house guests.

Getting rid of bed bugs is a difficult process

Because bed bugs are extremely hard to get rid of, most property owners hire a professional pest control company. Typically do-it-yourself attempts to eliminate bed bug infestations fail because those types of bed bug treatments don’t reach all of the bed bugs. Bed bugs are extremely adept at hiding and can be found not only in mattresses and on bed frames but in other furniture, behind photos and electrical outlets as well as in any small crevice they come across. If you are experiencing a bed bug issue, the best decision you can make is to contact an exterminator for help. For complete relief from bed bugs, check out our Bed bug removal service. Great experience with the pest control service. Alexander did a thorough job spraying both the inside and outside of the home and took the time to explain what they were doing. I especially appreciated that he didn’t just treat the home but also pointed out areas around the house that could allow pests to get inside and recommended repairs and preventative measures to help keep them out. The service was professional, thorough, and informative, and I appreciated the attention to detail. I would definitely recommend them to anyone looking for reliable pest control and helpful advice from Alexander on preventing future pest problems.

Our garage had been infested with mice. They left quite a mess. EnviroPest has systematically worked to eradicated the mice, mitigate entry points, and most recently completed a thorough cleanup and sanitation process. Along the way, they have all been professional, friendly, and have gone out of their way to explain their findings and recommendations. I never felt like we were being upsold. Overall very satisfied and would call them again if needed.

Mark has come to service my property a few times and does a great job answering questions and focus on my areas of concern. I like having the rapport with someone familiar with my previous service and property needs.
