Termites Are A Serious Problem In Denver, Boulder & Northern Colorado

Termites are native to every state except Alaska, and here in Colorado, subterranean termites are a constant threat to homes and businesses. These wood-destroying insects live and travel underground, which makes them notoriously difficult to detect until damage is already done. Subterranean termites aren’t dangerous to people, but left untreated, they can cause real structural damage over time — and most standard homeowners insurance policies don’t cover termite damage, since it’s considered a preventable issue rather than a sudden event. That’s where EnviroPest comes in. In business since 1965, we protect Colorado homes and businesses with the Sentricon® System, an advanced termite baiting solution built to find and eliminate termite colonies before they can do serious damage. If you suspect termites are active in your home or business, have uncovered termite damage during routine maintenance or renovations, or have noticed winged termites flying in or around your structure, contact EnviroPest to schedule a consultation and FREE estimate. One of our highly trained and fully licensed termite control pros will inspect your property to determine if termites are active, then review their findings and recommend a treatment plan.

The Sentricon® System

EnviroPest stops termite damage and protects homes from termite infestations with the Sentricon® System with Always Active™ technology — the most trusted termite baiting system in the industry. Unlike treatments that only kill termites on contact, Sentricon® eliminates the entire termite colony at its source, including the queen, while also providing ongoing termite protection all year long.

Builders in Colorado can also offer Sentricon® once construction and final grading are complete — giving homebuyers built-in termite protection as a valuable add-on.

How It Works

The Sentricon® System

As termites tunnel through the soil around your structure, they’ll find the Sentricon® bait stations, feed on the bait, and carry it back to share with the rest of the colony, including the queen. What these wood-destroying pests don’t realize is that the bait contains an active ingredient that prevents them from molting. When termites are unable to molt, they cannot develop, and the result is the eradication of the entire termite colony.

Our Termite Control Process

Termite Inspection

When you contact EnviroPest for termite control, one of our highly trained and fully licensed termite control pros will provide a free inspection to determine if you have termite activity. Once the inspection is complete, the specialist will review their findings and recommend a treatment plan.

Sentricon® Installation

When you sign up for termite control with EnviroPest, we’ll strategically install Sentricon® stations around the perimeter of your home, often in landscape beds adjacent to the house. Every station comes pre-loaded with live bait, so there’s no monitoring period and no waiting on us to add bait after activity is spotted — protection is in place from the moment the stations go in the ground.

Ongoing Termite Protection

Once your Sentricon® system is installed, it’s backed by an annual termite inspection, so we can catch any new activity early and keep your protection active year after year.

Frequently Asked Questions

Termite Control FAQs

We do! Ideal for those buying a home, selling a home, or for property owners wanting peace of mind, at the end of our certified termite inspection we’ll let you know if these pests are lurking on your property and what you can do to get rid of them.
Since termites in Colorado are always active (that’s 24/7/365), they are capable of causing extensive damage to homes without effective termite control in place. The National Pest Management Association estimates that termites cause $5 billion in property damage each year in the United States.
Winged termites are the reproductive members of a termite colony. Each year they swarm in order to find a mate and start a new colony. If you see a termite swarm INSIDE your home or business, there is cause for concern. That typically means a termite colony is already active in your structure. A termite swarm that occurs outside simply indicates that there is a termite colony nearby- not necessarily in your home or business. In that case, we recommend contacting a Colorado pest control company that specializes in termite control to make sure you don’t have a problem.

Great experience with the pest control service. Alexander did a thorough job spraying both the inside and outside of the home and took the time to explain what they were doing. I especially appreciated that he didn’t just treat the home but also pointed out areas around the house that could allow pests to get inside and recommended repairs and preventative measures to help keep them out. The service was professional, thorough, and informative, and I appreciated the attention to detail. I would definitely recommend them to anyone looking for reliable pest control and helpful advice from Alexander on preventing future pest problems.

Our garage had been infested with mice. They left quite a mess. EnviroPest has systematically worked to eradicated the mice, mitigate entry points, and most recently completed a thorough cleanup and sanitation process. Along the way, they have all been professional, friendly, and have gone out of their way to explain their findings and recommendations. I never felt like we were being upsold. Overall very satisfied and would call them again if needed.
